Bryan’s Birdy Bulletin

For those familiar with the birding scene, our Devils River adventure requires little introduction. This stunning and untamed paradise is a must-visit for any nature lover. The land and water here are so untouched and unique that they offer an experience not to be missed! During Birding the Border, you’ll have the freedom to explore typically restricted areas of this pristine environment — a rare opportunity, as the State Natural Area usually demands exploration on foot beneath the vast Texas sky. From the juniper-studded hills to the sycamore-fringed riverbanks, the landscapes are as varied as the birds you’ll encounter. In past visits, we’ve recorded sightings of rare species like the breeding Rufous-capped Warbler, Common Black Hawk, and numerous neotropical migrants.
