Avian Research Symposium: A Look at What’s Taking Flight
Join us for an engaging virtual symposium featuring avian research conducted by current students. Participants will hear concise presentations on a variety of bird-related research topics and gain insight into how avian science is advancing. Scholarship support will be awarded to the top presenters, helping encourage and invest in the next generation of avian researchers.

Flycatcher Week
Flycatcher Week is a virtual seminar series dedicated to one of North America’s most fascinating (and sometimes challenging!) bird groups. Sessions will include flycatcher identification tips, highlights from current research, and creative presentations that explores flycatchers from a new perspective. Whether you’re learning the basics or looking to sharpen your skills, this week offers something for birders of all levels.

Birds Between the Lines: Exploring Hybrids
This two-day virtual seminar explores the fascinating world of hybrid birds. Participants will learn how and why hybrids occur, what they can look like in the field, and how they challenge identification and conservation efforts. Through expert-led talks and real-world examples, this seminar will help birders better recognize and understand hybrids across a variety of species.

By registering, you help provide scholarships for the Rio Diablo Birding Camp, allowing the next generation of birders to experience the outdoors and grow their skills. Beginning with our spring seminar, your registration will also help support student researchers, we are awarding scholarships to those sharing their work with the public through our new research showcase.
Texas Master Naturalists can earn Advanced Training (AT) hours by attending!
If you are a Texas Master Naturalist, our educational seminars, birding trips, and some special events may count for Advanced Training! TMN AT Request Forms will be downloadable for all 2026 Virtual Birding Seminars.
