Comprehensive lesson on real world management scenarios of managing wildlife populations in Texas with a focus on white-tailed deer.
Who
Notebook and CD target high school level math (algebra) and science (biology, environmental science) students with lessons addressing TEKS.
Why
The module is designed to teach math and science students the concepts and relationships of data collection, data analyses and data interpretation. Assessments of the user group, habitat and deer populations are made via real world scenarios that are relevant and are regularly addressed by biologists and landowners throughout Texas as they manage private lands for healthy and sustainable deer populations.
How
All activities can be conducted in class. However, where appropriate field activities have been outlined.
