Comprehensive lesson on real world management scenarios of ponds and fish populations with a focus on largemouth bass.
Who
Notebook and CD target high school level math (algebra) and science (biology, environmental science) students with lessons addressing TEKS.
Why
The module is designed to teach math and science students the concepts and relationships of data collection, data analyses and data interpretation. Assessments of the user group, habitat and fish populations are made via real world scenarios that are relevant and are regularly addressed by biologists and landowners throughout Texas as they manage ponds and other private waters for better fishing.
How
All activities can be conducted in class. However, where appropriate field activities have been outlined.
